**Instructions:**

1. **Preheat the Oven:**

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

2. **Prepare the Cake Batter:**

   - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

   - In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with 3/4 cup of sugar until pale and creamy. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.

   - In another bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.

   - Gently fold the dry ingredients into the yolk mixture, then carefully fold in the egg whites until just combined.

3. **Bake:**

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.

4. **Soak the Cake:**

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the whole milk, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk. Use a fork or skewer to poke holes all over the cake, then slowly pour the milk mixture over the top, ensuring it soaks evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).

5. **Make the Whipped Topping:**

Beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until stiff peaks form.

6. **Assemble and Serve:**

Spread the whipped cream over the soaked cake. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon or your choice of toppings like fresh berries or toasted coconut. Slice and serve chilled.

**Tips:**

- For a more traditional touch, serve with a drizzle of caramel or dulce de leche.

- If you prefer a bit of texture, add a layer of sliced strawberries before spreading the whipped cream.
